Hello:
It's a long story, as to why we ask this. But, here it goes.
About a week ago, we upgraded a Windows Server 2003 box from SQL 2000 to SQL
2005 service pack 2. Is it possible to go back to SQL 2000? Restoring a
backup is not an option.
We conducted this upgrade by installing a new instance of SQL 2005 and
re-attaching the 2000 databases. We did not conduct this install through the
"regular" means of putting the CD in and saying "Next, Next..."
Thanks!

You can't downgrade a database. You could script/recreate the 2000 database
and then populate it from the 2005 version (using BCP, DTS or INSERT
statements for example).

Whenever possible please post enough code to reproduce your problem.
Including CREATE TABLE and INSERT statements usually helps.
State what version of SQL Server you are using and specify the content
of any error messages.
