"Cannot Generate SSPI Context" for the server itself

Basically the windows authentication is not working at all on this newly
installed sql 2k on win 2k, even it is not coming up at the server itself.
The Authentication is on the mix mode but only sql authentication works. It
is interesting when I use the sa (at the server) to connect it shows few
databases (excluding master, temp, msdb,…) and when I login locally as adm
in
to the box using sa it shows all dbs. This machine is connected to the SAN
but it is not clustered. The identical server at the disaster site does not
have this problem!
I looked at articles but they are all refer to a computer connecting to the
server. The admin who installed this left the organization and I have no ide
a
how he did the installation or even if he renamed this sql server after the
installation.
Any ideas where I should look?
Thank you,I take the part with system databases not shown back.
The Authentication problem exist when the server is on the netwrok. Anywhere
I should look?
Thank you.
